A studio tour by award-winning multi-media artist Ros Koch. This event is more than an Open Studio experience: an invitation to amateur and emerging artists especially – a reminder that every artist starts out unsure of themselves and their ability. No garden blooms on the first afternoon, and no confident brushstroke arrives without a lot of uncertain ones first! Walking the studio, visitors see that process up close: works in progress sit alongside finished pieces, sketches and false starts kept deliberately visible rather than tidied away. It’s a chance to demystify the process — to show that a finished portrait or landscape is the end of many small, ordinary efforts, not a single flash of talent.
